Conference Focus:

The number of military members who have been impacted by a wide variety of battle scars continues to rise, and will only grow as an increasing number of troops return home from tours spent in Iraq and Afghanistan. While, PTSD/TBI remain a key concerns for the DoD and VA, there are a host of other challenges facing our warfighters in a post-deployment environment. The 1^st – 3^rd marcus evans Military Health Conferences focused largely on the signature wounds of the full time warfighter and the efforts taken thus far by the DoD and VA to treat them.  Our 2011 conference also discussed the relationship between physical wounds and behavioral / mental health.  In 2012, we will continue this focus and identify emerging treatment efforts for behavioral/psychological conditions of the warfighter. It is with this in mind that we bring together a variety of experts within the DoD and VA to discuss the future of military health.
